I love/hate customs. I hate them because they make me nervous. I dont necessarily know how to make the thing, or perhaps I cant envision it like the client does. That anxiety is rough! But i love them because somewhere in the process, something "clicks" and I can bead like 🔥, and the satisfaction of completion outweighs everything i do just to have something to make. When a piece has purpose, when it begins its life as "something wanted" then it has so much more to live for. Those are the precious pieces.

So no, I haven't started smoking and I'm not sure if I even got the dimensions or color patterns correct, but the recipient is happy, I figured out something new, so I'm happy, and these keychains began life with purpose, so they are also happy. This is Custom Magic! 🥰

Hops inspired earrings! Available for purchase!

If you watch my stories or know me personally, then you probably know that I'm a herb girl. I grow them, forage them, "brew" them, and use them. And my hubby responds very well to them, so he benefits from all my efforts. One of his issues is insomnia. When we moved to Illinois, I found some hops growing wild nearby our house. I had never seen them before outside of a capsule!!! I was so excited, so I made sure to study hard to know when to pick them and how to dry them and all that, and then we collected a bunch. They help him so much! I despise the taste, but i adore the smell of them fresh off the vine and I love how helpful they are for the hubs.

I have some shapes I drew out and cut apart that I keep with my beads. I pulled out one a few nights ago and traced it onto some tracing paper and my brain saw a hops a flower 🌼. I immediately started working on these earrings and just love how they turned out! They are lined with white leather and are almost the size of Auntie earrings. They probably dont have the same sedative properties as a real hops flower, but I think they are just as beautiful and look amazing against dark hair.

*NEW* Custom belt buckle. This piece holds some symbolism for a cute young man. All he wanted for christmas was belt buckles. I think that's really awesome.
