YES! This word alone changed my business! A little while back I was reading a book by Carrie Green called and it challenged me to find a word to essentially live by to enhance my day to day practice with my small business! I sat for a moment and then it simply came to me, YES. Saying YES to opportunities. YES to new challenges. YES to things that scare me. YES! YES! YES! And boy, oh boy, what a HUGE game changer that has been for me and my business this year! I’ve been pushed wayyyyy far outside my comfort zone and for the better! So grateful for the guidance of other amazing entrepreneurs such as Carrie and others to help me along this entrepreneurial journey!

REALLY Really really hard!!!! In 2019 I started this business out of thin air and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t.....how do I put this mildly....TERRIFIED! I literally came to my husband one day and told him I wanted to branch out and start my own business that allowed me to be crafty while making pretty things that bring others joy. Easy, RIGHT?! 🤣😂 Bless my husbands sweet heart because although I was nervous about the idea he didn’t skip a beat when saying GREAT! How do we get started?!
In the beginning I started local. I had no idea if this little “dream” of mine would manifest and go anywhere. But the key is I KEPT GOING! Daily I took action to improve and grow my business. Looking back I’m so glad that I did. Local sales kept growing and by the end of 2019 I was as busy as could be! Like most entrepreneurs my thought wasn’t yay I’ve arrived, it was WHAT’S NEXT?!
I had always heard of Etsy but taking my work to a global platform was intimidating. I was very comfortable in my city selling to locals but who knows what someone in Nebraska would think! But personally I’d rather live a life of “oh well I tried” than a life full of “what ifs”. So once again I let my fear take a backseat and I’m so glad that I did!
Reflecting this morning on how far I’ve come from that idea in our small apartment. Along the way I’ve had struggles, doubts, and failures. However I’ve also had success, growth, and accomplished more than I thought even in these early first 2 years! I’ve had my work sell from coast to coast and even some international and I couldn’t be more GRATEFUL! With over 500 sales between local and Etsy I’m more fired up than ever to KEEP GOING! I can’t wait to see what 2 years from now brings! THANK YOU for being along for the journey!!

Busy busy weekend filling Etsy orders! I love what I do so it doesn’t really feel like work! And my boss is pretty cool (AKA Me) and lets me take as many coffee breaks as I need. 🤣😆😂
