New tags for our Horse Hide Jackets.🤩 This leather is incredible. Ive collected leather jackets for years and always had aspirations to be a leather garment “designer”/manufacturer. I add the quotes because, I mean c’mon, it’s all been done before. I’ve created patterns from the ground up and selected raw materials that feel right to me. So much of it comes down to fit and finish. I take pains on each jacket to make sure every stitch is 👌. I am a super picky and obsessive customer and I feel like you have the right to be the same with us. No doubt, you can find cheaper jackets. With ours, you know that it’s never going to fail you, and if somehow it does, you can call the guy that made it. I’ll answer your call.

Jackets have always been the end game for me.  I have been collecting vintage motorcycle jackets for 30 years, cataloging them and studying them, taking them apart and putting them back together. More often than not, they left me wanting, either because of the fit, design, or just shoddy construction.  I get it, jackets are hard.  Fitting the human form is no easy task and making them is physically, mentally, and sometimes, emotionally demanding.  With the “6226”, we pulled from the classic motorcycle jackets of the early-mid 20th century with updated fit and materials.  We didn’t reinvent the wheel.  Instead, we are focusing on slow production and small runs with direct communication between the client and the maker. 
We want to make you the best jacket you’ve ever had, the one you’ve dreamed of wearing.  There are few articles of clothing that make you feel the way a well made and properly fitting leather jacket will make you feel.  We want to make you a great jacket with no pretense, at a cost that doesn’t make us rich and doesn’t make you poor.  I just want to feed our kids and keep the lights on.  Thank you for your support and allowing us the opportunity to do what we love!

We are excited to finally (re)launch our jackets.

Model ”6226” - This will be the first run, with 10 spots available. We are using a french calf skin from for this run only. Now, it’s probably not what comes to mind when you think of “calf”. This leather is tough. IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME TO BREAK THIS JACKET IN! While this is an amazing leather, we will not be using it on future runs as it is far too costly for the price we want to maintain. I want to keep the jackets at an attainable price, and although they are still expensive, we are doing everything we can to produce a product we are proud of at a reasonable price point. We based the price of this jacket on a median leather cost from Horween where we typically purchase our leather, rather than the cost of the leather from Haas. All this to say, this first run is a hell of a deal.

In addition the the leather described above, we are using:

- Oversized Lampo Zippers from Italy, size 10 for the main front zip, size 8 for main pockets and sleeve gussets, and size 6 for the hidden chest pocket.

- Vintage inspired cotton twills from Japanese mills, with 9 options to choose from, with heavy 100% silk lining in the sleeves. All pockets made from the same liner material, reinforced with additional fabric for longevity.

We are offering the jacket in sizes 38-48 with short and long sizes available. We will work with you on sizing if you don’t fall in to those exact parameters. Just shoot us an email after you place your preorder to start the discussion. I have long arms, so I know the struggle of finding the correct fit.

Some slight customization options will be available. Don’t want snaps? No problem. Remove a pocket? OK. Add a pocket? Nope. Add some cool vintage spots? Yep. Just let us know what you’re thinking. We understand the investment and want everyone involved to be as excited as we are!
