Coffee Talk is back Saturday morning, August 15, at Blue Hound Brew.

There’s no agenda. It’s not a book club. You don’t need to bring anything, prepare anything, or even have finished a book lately.

Stop by, grab some coffee, and hang out with people who like books, ideas, and good conversation.

We’ll be at from 8–10ish.

Come for ten minutes. Stay for two hours. We’re not taking attendance.

Thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for Maus. We appreciate everyone who helped create a thoughtful discussion around a difficult but important book.

Next month we'll be discussing Twilight by Stephenie Meyer at , Corsair Distillery, on September 13 at 1 PM.
Love it or hate it, Twilight became one of the defining books of the 2000s. Its influence on young adult publishing, fandom culture, and paranormal romance is impossible to ignore.

The novel has been challenged for religious viewpoints, sexual themes, and concerns about relationship dynamics. Those debates have kept it on challenged-book lists for years.

Last night's discussion of Trust No One reminded me why I love book clubs. Everyone walks into the room carrying a slightly different version of the same story, and by the end of the evening we've all discovered something we missed.

Our September selection is The Last Murder at the End of the World by Stuart Turton.

Some books are entertaining because of the story. Others are entertaining because they're impossible to stop thinking about after you've turned the last page. This one manages to do both. Turton has built a mystery where every answer leads to another question, making it the perfect kind of novel to unpack with a room full of readers.

Whether you've finished the book, just cracked the cover, or simply enjoy hearing people talk about great books, you're welcome.

There's still time to read Maus.

Part memoir, part biography, and part historical testimony, Maus remains one of the most important graphic novels ever published. Its exploration of memory, trauma, family, and survival continues to resonate with readers around the world.
The book has faced challenges because of language, nudity, violence, and its depiction of historical atrocities.

We’ll be closing at 2 PM today to see The Odyssey.

This is the bookstore version of hanging up the “Gone Fishin’” sign. Except with fewer fish and considerably more Greeks making terrible decisions on the way home.
