Everything on our top shelf has been permanently marked down for the holidays, if it was before it's cheaper now. (Except the LAAB, that one's too big to go anywhere else). Had to rearrange so some things were switched into the box in the cubby hole underneath the 45s.

Magician A by Natsuko Is**tsuyo is now on the shelf. First in a line of translated manga put out by Peter Birkemoe of The Beguiling and TCAF fame, focusing on work that often misses release because it's too dirty. Described as "An unflinching look at modern women's sexuality".

We have an online store now! Check the link in the bio (https://wakeup-comics.square.site/). All money that would be cleared for this through July will be donated to the Nashville chapter of Black Lives Matter for their work combating racism, abolishing the police and introducing restorative justice. I will post a receipt here as proof.

For transparency, all these books are shipped directly to you from Ingram or an Ingram Publisher Services warehouse. Luckily there is one in La Vergne and one in Indiana, so unless something is backordered, it takes around a week to receive. I've set the shipping as low as possible to not lose money.

Right now there are none of the smaller and self-published items we carry on there. Mostly Fantagraphics, Drawn & Quarterly etc and anything that Ingram has that lines up with what we stock. I will be updating as new items are released.

Also it looks like s**t but eventually I'll try to clean it up (why do all images have to be squares now???).

First batch of new things we've had on the shelf in months from Perfectly Acceptable. Lale Westvind, Evan Cohen, Haejin Park, Ben Marcus & David Krueger, and Daria Tessler. Great assortment of physical objects from great artists, their books are always incredible productions.

We're back open again! The Groove is operating on limited hours, Wednesday-Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 12-5. A few guidelines: masks are required but available if you don't have one, please use the hand sanitizer by the door and follow social distancing while inside.

I hope to have some news soon about ways we're going to fundraise for Black Lives Matter and other organizations fighting against white supremacy and working to abolish the police.
