The Nashville Arcade The Arcade opened as Nashville's first shopping center, over the former Overton Alley, and connecting 4th and 5th avenues and Church and Union streets.

What started out as a rose garden and a dream became one of the first centers in North America. The renowned Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele II arcade in Milan, Italy, was the inspiration that fueled a dream for the developers of the Nashville Arcade. This new Arcade, opened in 1903, became the home of some of the city's finest retail stores. It's classic lines and Greek Revival architecture have span
