Do you know how to catch dragonflies? Dragonflies want a really high perched so they can survey the Pond. When they’ve landed, if you slowly put your finger in front of the dragonfly, he will get on your finger. Once he flies away if you hold your finger in the upright position, he will fly back and land on it because that’s the highest point.

🌸 Want more blooms? Don’t skip the deadheading!

Removing spent flowers the right way encourages many annuals and perennials to produce even more blooms instead of putting energy into making seeds. ✂️🌿

Instead of simply removing the bloom itself, you want to trim the correct portion of the stem: above first set of healthy leaves or leaf node when applicable. In other cases, you just want to trim the stem as close to the foliage as possible. Watch, learn, and give your garden a fresh boost all season long!
