When the people meant to protect us cause harm — how do we heal? How do we fight back?

Author Anjanette L. Young has lived that question. Victim of a 2019 wrong-door police raid in Chicago, she emerged with a story and a mission. Her new book Past the Pain is both memoir and roadmap.

She'll be at Alkebu-Lan Images this Saturday, March 8 from 11AM–2PM. Don't miss it.
