STORY TIME FRIENDS!!! I used to work at this shop in my younger years (post a 10 year run at a craft shop) called SEED People’s Market - I worked with a lot of characters there. So many different and distinct personalities not unlike other retail jobs, I am sure. But all of us, especially one specific year, really felt like family. One of the characters in that phase of my life was sweet Emily McCullar. She was from Texas, only in Sunny California for a couple of years. She was extremely intelligent, hard working, cute as can be, a bit of a ragamuffin, maybe not the best fit for interacting with people on a retail level, but 99% of the time fought through the urge to tell people exactly what she was thinking. We’ve kept in touch over the years here and there. Flash forward over 15 years and she’s back living in Texas, but came out to Nashville to write a cover story for a magazine because she is a successful writer now! And guess who she was so kind to think of and have dinner with the other day?!? ME!!! It filled me with so much joy catching up. And why am I telling you all this?! Well I noticed on Instagram that she had started doing her crafts. They looked like something we would carry at thunder moon and I asked her to bring some with her.
