Book review time!📚💕 Next up is....Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin. BOY I TELL YA! David pi**ed me off near the end of this book🤬😡. All that carrying on just to run from his truth... he likes men... I guess times were different back in those days but golleeee...The lesson learned was just live in your truth, so you dont become insufferable to yourself and everyone else 😩 The Drama! 'sroom

Just finished January's bookclub pick and this book was a little heavy for me. 💔 But its a reality that many face with substance abuse, domestic violence, betrayal, broken homes, and recidivism in the black community. I wanted to see it as a story of hope but I honestly didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel with this one!!! 😬😬😬 This is my first Tracy Brown book, but the story line was worth the read 📚

Just finished book three of the Ethic series🩵📚... Alani got on my laaaaaast nerve through this entire book😖... the emotional back and forth drove me nuts! 😵‍💫But I sympathize🩵🦋. She has been through so much and I couldn't imagine loosing 2 children and having to pick up the pieces with a man partially responsible for the losses she has taken. I don't know what to expect from book 4... but I'm ready...🫣

Another bookstore highlight! 💕 The beautiful romance bookstore is located in downtown Charleston. As you can see...the romance theme is as dreamy as you can imagine✨️🎀🦄🌸. The vibes made me want to stay all day! Pay them a visit if you are ever in Charleston SC✨️ 📚✨️

Today's bookstore highlight is Buxton Books! It a cute cozy bookstore located in downtown Charleston SC. And I got a tote as a souvenir for only a dollar ❤️📚💕✨️ Pay them a visit if you are ever in town!

Finished the book club pick a few days ago! "Goal" by Alexandria House was a short read with a good romance story line ❤️ She touches on so many issues that many of us have faced at least once in our life. Abandonment issues, mental illness, miscarriages, family dysfunction/abuse, weight shaming and so much more. All that in this one book! 4 out of 5 stars for me. The love scenes were a bit overdone for me 😩 You picked a good one 🥰❤️

Be sure to support your local bookstores! 📚 Everytime a visit a different city I make sure to visit and buy from the local indie bookstores 💟📚🫶🏿🌻 Prince Books in Norfolk VA was a beautiful spot! And they have a café ☕️🍪🧋🧁
