3 reason why IKEA doors don’t work for closets:
1. You need to build up wood pieces to floor and ceiling to use IKEA rail for panels.
2. A pair of panels could cover 58” or 78” wide closets, which is either not enough for standard 60”/120 closets, either too much for 72”/144 closets.
3. Panels still slide roughly😬

All of this maybe OK for temporary rental or first ever home, but you don’t want to leave with it in your “Home Sweet Home”.
