YEA (Young Entrepreneurs Academy) sponsored by the Naperville Chamber of Commerce gave me the opportunity to be in their special business class even though I'm the youngest in the class (Junior High Student). I immediately thought of my favorite sport in the world...fishing and came up with a prototype of a lure I know would change fishing as there is nothing like it! My company name as you may h

ave guessed came from my love of fishing with my late Gramps. He sat at mosquito filled lakes and ponds with me for hours as I tossed worms on hooks and lures (once he taught me how to tie one on) in the water. He always encouraged me to keep trying and gave me the patience to keep on fishing! He was really ill and hospitalized when I came up with the Gramp's Lure Co. name, and I was so blessed to be able to tell him that I named my company after him. He didn't have much to say that day, but he gave me a firm handshake and I knew this was going to be an amazing company! Because I think all children should be able to fish at least one day, I am donating 5% of my profits to a non-profit organization that supports disadvantaged youth and children with the opportunity of a fishing outing called: Take A Kid Fishing Foundation. What a great foundation! I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't gone fishing.
