More than 2,000 rubber ducks took a dive into the DuPage River Friday morning for the annual Riverwalk Duck Race in Naperville.

🌧️🦆 Riverwalk Rubber Duck Race Day is TODAY, 11am!
A little rain? No problem. The ducks are literally built for water.
The race is happening RAIN OR SHINE and will start PROMPTLY at 11:00 AM. Ducks will launch from the Eagle Street Bridge and race downstream to the Main Street Bridge.
🏆 Winners will be selected and announced after the race. You do not need to be present to win.
⚡️ The only thing that could change our plans is lightning. If Mother Nature decides to add electricity to the mix, we can't safely send our amazing Park District crews into the River to collect thousands of ducks.
If that happens, we'll make a quick pivot: every 2026 duck will be transferred to the Dandelion Fountain (at Jackson and Webster), and we'll draw our winners there instead.
Because one way or another, the show must go on.
