It’s BEGINNING to look like Christmas…. not A LOT but BEGINNING…. The Jolly Old Elf must wait his turn while the spotlight is poised on tenacious Tom who refuses to be upstaged until he’s famous for 15 minutes or at least a day or two. Your sensational Seconds Shop is BEGINNING to transport some eclectic and sundry holiday wares from Santa’s satellite workshop to the Shop floor (apparel, decorations, ornaments, etc.) where you can peruse them from 11-3 on Friday 11/28 and 10-4 on Saturday 11/29. Much more to come in the days ahead so fasten the seat belts on your sleigh or conveyance of choice. It appears that Santa is sharing a lively joke with Kermit as they await their appearance 😂 . But first, have a lovely leisurely Thanksgiving, remembering to be grateful for your many blessings as you celebrate with family and friends. As you enter the Shop, marvel at the total transformation of our ever present trio of mute mannequins from their Thanksgiving apparel to their festive Christmas frocks. Voila! We’re open from 10-4 on Friday and 11-3 on Sunday. Captain Dixon, retired from the Nantucket Fire Department, stopped by our stupendous Seconds Shop this afternoon to peruse some men’s apparel and commiserate with our main mannequin, the ravishing Renee, resplendent in holiday attire and apropos accessories . The Shop will be open tomorrow July 4th from 10-2 if you’d like to swing by and stock up on patriotic clothing and housewares to insure a fabulous fun filled Fourth. Good day, lovelies. Your spectacular Seconds Shop is chock a block full of tantalizing treasures! From all-season apparel for all ages, housewares, artwork, books and toys, and a smattering of eclectic oddities, there’s something to suit every thrift shopper’s fancy. In anticipation of the fast approaching Independence Day holiday, we’ve assembled a rack of patriotic clothing in shades of red, white and blue so you’ll be appropriately arrayed for the festivities. Check out our vividly vibrant vignette featuring our trio of silent sentinel mannequins displaying the de rigueur colors. You’ll also find platters and placemats, serving bowls and such with American flag motifs to enhance your Independence Day soirées. Our main model, the blond and beguiling Renee, is resplendently draped in the Stars and Stripes to commemorate the 249th Birthday of our beloved nation. Note that our silent sentinels, the captivating couple Renee and Roget are swathed in sartorial splendor in homage to our wildly anticipated Daffodil Festival (4/24-27)! You’ll want to peruse our Daffy rack to bedeck and bedazzle yourself in the apropos shade to celebrate the bright and beauteous bulb that heralds spring on the Faraway Isle.
