Just arrived at the shop is this 19th C. “Remember Me” Sailor’s Valentine. So pretty and poignant on this Memorial Day Weekend of Remembrance.

It measures 10.5” diameter. A nice size. There is a crack to the glass but as you can see, when the valentine is hanging the crack is almost invisible. We love the pink contrasting the white and earth toned shells.

19th Century English Sailor’s Woolwork. Love the rich blues.

Antique Heart and Rose Sailor’s Valentine, circa 1920. So pretty.

19th C. Sailor Made Whale Bone Petite Double Swift.

19th C. Sunderland Lustre Ware Mug (with surprise ceramic mug inside!), circa 1860.

19th C. Staffordshire Sailor standing by a canon.

This Nantucket Purse by Jose Formoso Reyes is one of many new pieces we have added to our shop and online store.

Circa 1955, it’s a beautiful oval woven basket with a cane weave on rattan staves, carved swing handle, scrimshaw carved whale tooth peg, k***s, and s***m whale by Aletha Macy on maple top. It is signed on the bottom Made In Nantucket, Jose Formoso Reyes, with image of the island.

The purse remains in very good condition, with a deep honey 🍯 patina.

Measures: 6-3/4 in H x 8-1/4 in L x 6-3/4 in

Gorgeous day here. It felt like spring had finally sprung!
