Hi everyone! Sorry I have not posted sooner, but we finished move-out on July 31st, and we've been a little busy dealing with post-close stuff, other appointments, and honestly just wanting to take a few days off doing nothing. ^__^

We sent most of our remaining store merchandise to Kleinfelter's Auction for their 8/17 weekly auction, and were surprised to find some of it went up a week early. It performed VERY well, and we are thrilled at the response. We have more items up this week (about 150 lots) and should have more next week as there are still items we have not seen listed yet. We also have some items up at Art Pannebecker & Brad Wolf Auctioneers, Inc set to go at their 8/14 weekly auction. Check them both out to see if you can grab a bargain if you like.

No news yet on a new location. We have a busy month in August dealing with some personal issues, so we've suspended the search for the time being. We will absolutely announce here if/when we open at a new location, so check back once in a while.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out this weekend. This was the first week we were clearing out the shop at 50% off and despite the low prices, we set a new record for our best weekend ever! What frankly shocked us though was that despite that, it hardly looks like we put a dent in the store. There is still a ton of great items left, and we're bringing in a few things that never made it in before now.

For some reason, Teddy Bears flew out the door this weekend -- we literally sold more bears this weekend than we have in the past year, I think. I guess 50% off just made them too good to pass up, but we've still got boxes, bins, and shelves full of them. I wonder what next week's surprise bestseller will be...

As announced earlier, we're selling all of our store fixtures, including wreath stands, plate holders, basket racks, wood crates, and of course the shelving. We're just limiting certain items to be picked up after our last opening day, July 16th. We'll be at the shop most days from the 17th to the 27th, and we'll be open our normal hours July 21st-23rd, just with limited merchandise (whatever is not packed by then). You can pick up items such as shelves during that weekend, drop in when we're there, or schedule a pick-up time with us. If you're a vendor looking for shop displays, or just want some of these for your home, just ask David about pricing.

Finally, we ARE actively looking for a new location, and if we find one we will announce any plans it on this page. Likewise, if you know of any suitable vacant properties for sale or lease in Western Berks, Eastern Lebanon, or Northern Lancaster counties, let us know!

FINAL CLEARANCE

As we wind down operations, we are having one final sales push until our final days. Right now, we are looking to be open as normal through SUNDAY JULY 16TH. We may be open in a limited capacity the following weekend, but nothing certain at this point.

To that end, all regular merchandise in the store will be 50% OFF, starting this weekend, June 23rd, excluding furniture and store fixtures. We may be pulling some merchandise in advance to restart at a new location, for sale online, etc. but all items remaining will be half price.

Additionally, all store fixtures are available for purchase, but can only be picked up AFTER July 16th. We are selling all our fixtures -- tables, shelves, pegboard units, wood crates, basket racks, wreath stands, picture/plate stands, signholders, etc.

VENDORS/RESELLERS welcome. We have had quite a few regulars over the years who come to us to pick for their own booth spaces, and we are happy to work deals with high-volume people. Our prices are pretty low to begin with (my motto is "you make your money when you buy"), so 50% off that is bound to be a steal.

I mentioned last time that the Myerstown Indoor Flea Market is closing, and we are too, so we need to liquidate. As of June 1, ALL merchandise in the store is 25% off. If you were eying a piece before and just couldn't commit, now's the time.

Also, we are no longer giving punches on our loyalty cards. However, you can redeem partially-filled loyalty cards for a proportional discount ($1 per punch).

A sad day for us. After nearly ten years in the Myerstown Indoor Flea Market, the owner has decided to close the market to make room for another tenant. I can't give a firm date just yet, but we are planning to liquidate and close out the majority of our stock over the next couple months. We will be selling almost everything, including fixtures, shelving, crates, and displays, and of course the merchandise on the shelves. As we approach our move-out date, we will be offering progressive discounts. Current holders of our Loyalty Card can redeem it for a partial discount based on the number of accumulated punches.

We welcome other vendors and are happy to work with you on price for volume purchases. Large fixtures (shelving, tables) will only be sold closer to our move-out date.

We have another room of merchandise and many things not pictured here, including many DVDs & CDs, non-fiction books, vintage military, boy/girl scouts, linens, glassware, jewelry, and more.

We have a number of pieces of furniture available, made from reclaimed barnwood. You can see the Jelly Cupboard ($325) and large shelf ($300) pictured, and we also have a large table (42"x84", $400), two tables (~30"x60", $300), two side tables ($175 ea), and a small shelf ($125). We will make detailed sales posts for those at a later date.

Once again, it's been a fun ten years serving the community, and we're sorry it's come to this. We received zero warning, and had been procuring new items just last week. It came as quite a shock, and we're still processing it. I hope to see our regulars at least one last time before we go, it's been great meeting you all.

Once again, we're located at 117 E Main Ave, Myerstown, PA, in the large tan brick factory building, first floor.

We'd like to thank everyone who came out to the Craft Show on Saturday. I posted an album full of photos for those who might have missed it.

A lot of our items have found new homes, but we still have quite a few things left. Those will be available in the shop soon. I hope to see everyone again at St Mary's Christmas Show in 2019!

St Mary's is considering a Spring/Easter show as well, and we've expressed our interest in attending. If they decide to move forward on that, we may see you there as well.

A custom order from a client who liked my other spell books. This is a full-size replica of the book from the movie Hocus Pocus, measuring ~13.5x12x5.5". Also a hide-away box with magnetic closure.

Fall is here, and Halloween is near upon us. We're bringing out our Halloween and Harvest decorations for the season.

We've been busy crafting some spooktacular items for your enjoyment. Two Pumpkinhead Skeleton figures -- a ghoul and a witch -- sit approx 12-15" tall, and were crafted and painted by us. We've also got a large assortment of decorative spell books and potion bottles. We had a lot more, but they've been absolutely flying out the door. I hope to have some more done in the next week or two. Coming soon and not pictured: three decorated Witch Hats (approx 18" tall), each with a different theme, another book, a hanging mummy (18"), and an assortment of hand-sewn primitive-style Halloween items. As always, we bring in new items every week, and will have new Halloween items for the next few weeks, then switch over to more Autumn/Harvest-themed crafts.

And we always have a Christmas section year-round with crafts and other items.

August update!

We're pleased to announce that Pastimes is now accepting credit cards. We're now accepting all major credit cards through the Square payment app and magstripe reader.

As always, we have new items every week. Recent additions include a few printers' trays, Boyd's Bears plush and resin, Longaberger baskets, vintage bottles, enamelware, hand-thrown pottery, and a lot of country/primitive decor.

We've recently added new LPs, including many popular 80s artists such as Madonna, Prince & the Revolution, Janet Jackson, Art of Noise, Jodi Watley, Tina Turner, etc., both full albums and many rare 12" singles as well. Most LPs are $5 or less, and most singles are just $1.

We also recently added several hundred new DVDs, including many classic 40s and 50s films, modern RomCom and action movies, War documentaries, TV series box sets, etc. DVDs and blu-ray are all $1 each, though box sets are priced higher.
