Sometimes life has a way of surprising us. After I shared the news last week about closing the store, I was contacted by another amazing mother-daughter duo who expressed interest in taking it over. As a result, our plans have taken an exciting new turn!

I’m so excited to introduce Daphne and Ashlyn, the owners of The Pink Buffalo Mercantile. They will be continuing the legacy that my mom and I have poured our hearts into for nearly 13 years. Their vision is to expand their current business while incorporating many of the beloved brands you’ve come to know and love at Pinon Creek.

Unfortunately, today was our last day open as Pinon Creek. Daphne and Ashlyn plan to transition their store into our space and officially open on August 6th. We’re also happy to share that they will be honoring any remaining Pinon Creek gift certificates—so you can still enjoy a piece of what we’ve built together.

It’s the End of an Era — and the Start of Something New!

After nearly 13 wonderful years in business, we’re officially closing our doors — but not without taking a moment to celebrate all the joy, memories, and incredible relationships we’ve built along the way.

From dressing you for life’s biggest milestones to sharing laughter, hugs, and countless stories in between — this journey has been nothing short of amazing. Many of you started as customers and became cherished friends, and for that, we are endlessly grateful.

As we turn the page, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement. Chelsey is embarking on a new career adventure and looking forward to spending more time with her kiddos, while Sue is ready to fully enjoy retirement (again!).

This may be the end of a chapter, but it’s also a beautiful beginning. Thank you for your unwavering support, your loyalty, and your love over the years. You’ve truly meant the world to us.

Our final day will be Saturday, August 16th, and between now and then, we would love nothing more than to welcome you in-store one last time. We want the chance to thank you in person—for your support, your kindness, and for helping us bring our dream of running a mother-daughter boutique to life.

We’ll be hosting a closing sale, so stay tuned for all the details. It’s also the perfect time to use any remaining gift certificates and shop some great deals while they last.

Your loyalty and encouragement have meant the world to us. Let’s make these last few weeks something to remember.
