Emma’s running the shop today til 5:00 while we (Whitney and Wesley) run an errand in St. Louis. We had a fantastic time meeting both the human and feline employees of ! Zelda the Cat took her job very seriously and we highly recommend her services.

We’re so excited to join Soup for the Soul again for their Summer Lunch and Literacy program! Literacy is a human right, and it’s the center for everything we stand for as a bookstore. We’ll be matching the first $500 of donations dollar for dollar.

All donations will be used by Soup for the Soul to select and purchase books for kids in need in Calloway County! Stop by the lobby desk at our store or donate now on our website - link in the comments!

Donate any amount to Soup for the Soul's Lunch & Literacy Program. Your donation allows the non-profit to select and purchase books that will be sent with meals throughout the summer. For every $10 donated, Bolin Books is adding $1 to the Soup for the Soul account.

We had a great surprise visit from another bookseller this weekend! Kelly runs Foxing Books in Louisville, and we so enjoyed chatting about our shops and what we’re reading right now.

We love that the independent book scene continues to expand across Kentucky. Next time you’re in Louisville, you should stop in!
