This piece was a labor of love full of heart. It is my internal library. The place where I store all my memories turned into a physical piece. I crafted the moon out of resin and incorporated many things from throughout my life. There are empty shelves to show that I still have so much more to experience and explore in life. I placed it next to the piece I did over 2 years ago to show how my library looked then. This work of art was truly a gift to make. Being able to look inside myself and create what I see and feel is always a blessing.

As someone who heavily struggles with mental as well as physical illness it painting is something that is truly healing for me. My mental health can often weigh me down and put me into a place of deep sadness. It is important to remember that in life emotions are like a swing they go back and forth and while it may seem you are at your lowest an emotional high point is soon to arrive. As humans we tend to hide our weakness but I view my openness about my struggle as a badge of courage. I no longer fear speaking up because the silence is easiest time to be lost. Speak up. Seek help. No one ever has to struggle alone. Ever. You deserve to be seen, heard, and cared about.
