AUGUST UPDATES!

As many of you already know, Discovery Cookies will begin a temporary pause after August 30, which will be our last baking day for a while.

As we enter our final month before the pause, we'd like to share a few updates about how things will work throughout August so everyone has time to plan ahead.

🍪 Our Menu
Throughout August, we'll be baking only our 9 Signature Flavors.

📅 Baking Schedule
We'll continue baking Monday through Saturday, and depending on the number of orders, we may also add a few Sundays (Our regular baking hours are 12pm to 6pm, but please keep an eye on our page for occasional schedule adjustments on specific days.)

✔️ Freshly Baked Means Limited
We'll do our very best to keep all 9 flavors available every day (my arm can definitely confirm that! 😅), but because every cookie is baked fresh, some flavors may occasionally sell out.

📦 Large Orders
If you're planning a large order (for a hospital unit, office, school, party, or any other event), please let us know as early as possible. We want to continue accommodating those orders just like we always have, but during this final month, planning ahead will be more important than ever.

⚠️ Our Final Week (August 24–30)
This will be the only major change.
❗️During our final week before the pause, we'll be working exclusively with pre-orders. That means we won't be able to accept last-minute or same-day orders during that week.

If you'd like cookies between August 24 and August 30, please place your order by Saturday, August 23. Planning ahead will help us manage our production, ingredients, packaging, and inventory so we can finish this chapter in the best possible way.

We don't want to turn August into a month of sadness. We simply want everyone who has supported Discovery Cookies to have the chance to enjoy our cookies one more time before our temporary pause.

Throughout this month, we'll continue sharing updates, stories, memories, and a few behind-the-scenes moments from this incredible journey.

Happy National Treat Yourself Day! 🎉 Today's a great day to treat yourself... especially because we were able to make more Kinder Bueno and Old Red Velvet cookies!

The only flavor that's almost gone is Tiramisu. We have just a few left, and once they're gone, we won't be making any more before our temporary pause.

🧡 Before We Say "See You Later..." 🧡

When people ask me what it was like to move from Brazil to the United States, they usually expect me to talk about learning English.

But honestly... The hardest part wasn't the language. It was the fear.
Moving to another country is expensive financially, but it's even more expensive emotionally.

You leave behind your family, your friends, everything that's familiar, and suddenly you're trying to build a life in a place where you don't know the rules, the culture, or even the little everyday things that everyone else seems to know.

As an immigrant, you're constantly wondering:
Can I do this? Am I allowed to work this way? Am I following the rules? Am I doing everything correctly?

That fear follows you everywhere! Going to the dentist. Getting your driver's license. Opening a business. Talking to someone on the phone. Everything feels new, and you're always afraid of making a mistake.

Starting Discovery Cookies felt exactly the same.
I wanted to do everything honestly. I wanted to respect every rule. I wanted to earn every customer's trust the right way.

At the same time, I was trying to learn a new language. Even today, English is still a challenge for me. Reading and writing have become much easier, but speaking and understanding conversations are still difficult sometimes. There are moments when I don't know the words I want to use. Sometimes I don't fully understand what's being said. Sometimes I still apologize because I feel like my English isn't good enough. And so many of you have smiled and said, "You're doing great."

You have no idea how much those simple words meant. Every time someone was patient with me... Every time someone waited while I searched for the right word... Every time someone encouraged me instead of making me feel embarrassed... You gave me a little more confidence to keep trying.

That kindness changed my experience here more than you'll ever know. This community gave me something I never expected.
Not just patience.
Not just kindness.
You made us feel welcome.

So many of you chose to support Discovery Cookies before you even knew who I was. Many of you still haven't met me in person because I'm usually the one hidden away in the kitchen while Arthur, Carlos, or Matheus bring your cookies outside. Yet somehow... You trusted me anyway.

I don't think you'll ever truly understand what that meant to us. When we arrived here, we were simply a family trying to find our place in a new country.

Today... Because of you...
Muncie feels like home 🧡

Thank you for every order. Thank you for every kind word. Thank you for every recommendation. Thank you for every bit of patience while I learned. Thank you for believing in us before we had the chance to believe in ourselves. You didn't just help a small business. You welcomed a family!

I definitely didn't expect our last week with all 12 flavors before our temporary pause to be quite this... eventful. 😅 Between the storm and the power outage, a constantly changing schedule, and a kitchen that's been busier than ever, it's certainly been a week to remember!

The good news is... we're baking today! 🧡
Today's baking hours are 1pm to 6pm (or even until 7pm, depending on the flow of incoming orders).

This is your last week to enjoy all 12 flavors on our menu. Don't forget to take advantage of our One of Each Box Promotion, available through August 1!

Starting in August, we'll continue baking through August 30, but with our 9 Signature Flavors only.
