One of the most meaningful tournaments we have ever hosted.
This past weekend, we held our Value Vintage Charity Tournament in Memory of Michael Shockley, a special event created to help raise funds to offset funeral expenses for Tony's father.
The support from our community was nothing short of amazing. We had 20 players sign up to participate, with new players, regulars, and even out-of-town visitors all coming together for a great cause. The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible. Everyone was in high spirits, enjoying the game, supporting one another, and reminding us what this community is truly all about.
The generosity didn't stop there.
Not only did Tony receive 100% of all event entry fees, but Next Level Games also added $200 in store credit and TWO full booster boxes to the prize pool.
Then came one of the most memorable moments of the day. After the tournament concluded, the Top 8 players collectively decided to split the entire prize pool evenly among themselves. Because of their generosity, every Top 8 player walked away with over 7 packs and $25 in store credit.
This event was about much more than competition. It was about friends, family, community, and supporting someone during a difficult time. We are truly honored to have hosted this event and grateful to everyone who came out to support Tony and his family.
Seeing a community come together like this is always heartwarming, and it's a reminder of why we love what we do.
