The Maple Island Thrift Shop came about because a small group of caring residents wanted to make a difference in their community. Dedicated volunteers renovated the original building and today awe have two floors to display all the donated merchandise. Your donations of new or gently used clothing, small furniture, household go

ods and books has ensured the success of the store, where we turn your donations into funding for our community. Drop in to browse, shop or to drop off your donations ... all donations and purchases are greatly appreciated!

There is a scheduled power outage for the area tomorrow, June 7, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Maple Island Thrift Shop will be closed tomorrow due to this power outage.

It's almost time for our annual Strawberry Social!

Join us at the Dunchurch Community Centre on Tuesday, June 23rd at 1 PM for tea, coffee, and strawberry shortcake. It's the perfect occasion to get dressed up and celebrate the summer with friends and loved ones.

The Strawberry Social is free to attend, so a special thank you to all of our volunteers for making this delightful tradition possible. Donations are welcome to help make the event sustainable for years to come.

June 1, 2026: The fire rating will be increasing to HIGH as of midnight tonight. Fires for cooking and socializing permitted after 6:00 PM and to be extinguished before 6:00 AM.
