Contrary to what I said on a previous post we will not be open for this Fourth of July Fireworks season. I do hope to be back in business next year to celebrate our country’s 250th birthday.

We are planning to be open for the upcoming fireworks season but we haven’t determined yet what that will entail. Due to recent legislation the timeframe for retail fireworks in Kansas has been extended however local ordinances can be more restrictive. Please consult with local authorities for specific jurisdictions.

Just a friendly reminder that the timeline for legally setting off fireworks for Independence Day holiday within Frontenac city limits expired Saturday morning at midnight. I know that there were many still being used last night and I politely ask that all fireworks be put away and saved for next year at this time. I enjoy Independence day and fireworks as much as anybody but we must be considerate of everyone and everyone’s work schedules. Thank you for your help in this matter.
