The 2026 Woodbury County Fair was a success for The Untwisted Fibre!

We handed out over 150 mini looms/friendship wheels! My hear is full. Sharing my love of natural fiber with so many people of all ages was extremely fulfilling.

I entered a few of my own pieces on the Open Class barn. This was my first time participating in this way. It was a great experience and all four of my pieces took ribbons! 🙏🏻🥹🫶🏻🧶😭

As promised, I am sharing those pieces in a video here today.

Here at The Untwisted Fibre It is our mission to make fiber arts and luxury hand dyed yarns more accessible to our community.

We do that in a few ways. With your help and support we offer FREE fiber arts education!

When you purchase yarn from us, for every 10 skeins sold we give one back to our community!

This past two months those FREE skeins have gone in the bin for the FREE fiber arts make and takes at our Sioux City Farmers Market , and now this week at Woodbury County Fair!

We will be in the Old Town Woodbury County Fair Parsonage building in the South East corner of the grounds by the tractors!

Stop and say hi! Bring your kiddos for a FREE weaving make and take. 🤓🧶✨

And we will have our locally hand dyed natural fiber yarns offered for purchase.
My daughter, Kira from Petty Patterns will be offering some of her sweet handmade crochet items as well.

Taking inventory, labeling, and sorting.

This is my entire inventory of small batch, hand dyed yarns. There are 90 different skeins. 8 of those are 611yd movie sets and 13 are 50 gram duo sets. The rest are 100gram skeins.

I am incredibly proud of the work I do. The gratitude is endless. My heart and soul runneth over. ✌🏻🫶🏻🙏🏻🧶

I rarely do a whole inventory. It is cool to see them like this all together
