Delicious baked spoonbill fish with a Lemon Cream Sauce! And my go-to side of baked seasoned sweet potato chunks. We caught the spoonbill fresh this morning from Table Rock Lake. This sauce is super easy to make, and the fish only takes about 15 minutes to bake.
I'm so thrilled, our herb garden has come back to life after the winter and all of the fresh sprigs on this delicious plate came from our backyard!!!

The base recipe I used is from Recipe Tin Eats, but I adjusted it a bit like I usually do.

Chocolate chip oatmeal cookie in one of my #3 skillets!

Also, who else love the fluffy butter/brown sugar cream more than the cookies themselves!?😏😋

This beautiful Griswold was in our last batch of cast irons that went through the restoration and reseasoning process. As you can see from the before pictures, it was in rough shape before transforming into this stunning piece! This pan was re-seasoned for one of my clients, and I'm confident she will enjoy the delicious food this skillet will turn out😋

Nothing like cast iron baked mac and cheese on a chilly evening! I used a yummy recipe from Recipe Tin Eats as a base and adjusted it to make it my own.

This pan is an old Lodge cast iron skillet. It cleaned up very nicely and is one of my most used skillets!

Here's the link to the recipe I used! https://www.recipetineats.com/baked-mac-and-cheese/

Found this gem at the Antique To***co Barn in Asheville NC! The gate mark on the bottom of this #8 skillet indicates it was made sometime in the 1800's! I love searching places for vintage pieces like these. This particular shop has over 77,000 square feet of antiques! The building used to host to***co auctions in addition to selling antiques. What a way to blend history, cast irons, and travelling!

Found this cast iron piece at an antique shop in Chimney Rock NC...after climbing to the top of the rock! The only markings on this muffin pan are a number "2" and "MADE IN THE USA". Based on these markings and the research I've done, I think this is a BSR (Birmingham Stove and Range Co.) piece that was manufactured in the 1960's or possibly later.

When I get home, I'll strip this pan down and reseason it. Keep an eye out for the after restoration pictures! This item will also be for sale on our website after I reseason it.

This Lodge skillet had some minor rusting on it. It didn't need entirely stripped and re-seasoned, so I just gave it a vinegar bath and scrubbed the rust off. This one I seasoned with high-quality grapeseed oil. I love the design on the bottom of this Skillet, and it cleaned up beautifully!

Tip: don't let your cast iron cookware air-dry or set with water on it for any length of time. It will cause the iron to rust, which is what happened to this skillet. Instead, dry the skillet with a towel and then heat over a stovetop to ensure the iron is thoroughly dried. Then coat with a thin layer of oil to preserve the seasoning!
