Check out Jenny's latest recommendationThis book not only drew me in but also educated me on several historical events. I was not aware of the Blue People of Appalachia nor did I know anything about the Pack Horse Library Project that was started under President Roosevelt. Cussy Mary, a devoted librarian who was a Blue, had a hard life but kept overcoming the obstacles thrown her way. Despite how the people of her town looked at her, she had a beautiful heart that I couldn’t help but want the best for. I enjoyed this book so much I’ve already started the sequel, The Book Woman’s Daughter!
