I am marking things down even further this week! One of our sweet customers remarked last week that they felt bad for buying up clearance items, but I replied that it’s actually a tremendous blessing to us. It was harder than I thought it would be to hang this sign in our window. I guess it feels more “final” now. We will miss being a part of Main Street, but it became clear to us that God was closing the door here and gently leading us elsewhere. Today, I found comfort in this poem ~

“Do it immediately;
Do it with prayer;
Do it reliantly, casting all care;

🌿 Dear friends,
I really wish that I didn’t have to write this to y’all…we have arrived at the extremely difficult decision to close our shop at 67 E. Main Street in Mount Joy. It has truly been a joy and a privilege to be a part of the community on Main Street, and to be able to serve all of you!

All along this journey, our greatest desire has been to add some beauty and joy to downtown Mount Joy and we hope that we have succeeded in that goal for the short time we’ve been around. Personally, we have learned so much; some hard lessons, some wonderful discoveries and some sobering realities. Without a doubt, our most cherished take away will be the relationships we’ve enjoyed with the many amazing people who make up our little town, as well as folks who have visited us from beyond. Josh and I feel so blessed by everyone who has so enthusiastically cheered on Cypress & Myrtle! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts 💞

We are really sad to have to make this choice, and we don’t exactly know what’s next. But we do know Who holds the future!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

Lord willing, I do plan to continue refurbishing and painting furniture in addition to other creative endeavors from home. So you’ll probably still see posts & updates here from time to time. Over the next few weeks, we will be having a store wide closing sale. The shop will be open this Thursday (4/14) from 10-5, and then we’ll be closed through Tuesday (4/19). On Wednesday (4/20) we will re-open at 10:00 am.
