Tore this barrel down today to prep it for future projects. In my opinion, the smell of bourbon is hard to beat. Do you see the shine on the wood? That is straight Maker’s Mark Bourbon. Yep, the shop smells great…. Have a great day folks.

In the shop this morning. This split US/Army flag is getting her stars this morning. I’m waiting on the Army seal to arrive then I can work towards finishing this one up. Have a great day folks.

A special order flag is glued up and in clamps. This will be a split flag. As always, the rough cut clear white pine that I started with came from the great folks at Alexander Brothers in Timberville.

A copper coffee scoop with stainless steel handle coming out of the shop today. This is my first try at somethinglike this . Enjoy your evening folks

Just a little of what is going on in the shop. One of two leather belt straps for a bayonet done, another “book” cutting board set, a couple dozen penny fridge magnets and working on some shot gun shell and 9mm fridge magnets. Have a good day folks.

A new serving/cutting board coming out of the shop. Made of ambrosia maple and measures 9x19. Always been my thought…. If you didn’t want me to stay so long, you should have stopped feeding me. 😀

Finished three, half barrel heads today. We will be back at the Christmas Village Saturday 3-9 and Sunday 3-8. Have a good evening folks.

Made a selection of herb stripper/bowl scrapper combos. They are made from (front to back) cherry, rainbow poplar and walnut. Also, knocked out a small walnut charcuterie board for a special order. Enjoy the evening y’all.

A nice little cherry bowl coming out of the shop today. This one measures 7” across rim and 2” high. It is finished with a mineral oil and bees wax mixture. Enjoy the day y’all

A new one coming out of the shop this morning. This is a pedestal fruit/candy bowl measuring 8” across bowl rim and 4 1/2” high overall. The bowl was made from ambrosia maple and the pedestal from walnut for contrast. Finished with gloss lacquer. Jo Millett loaned me one of Bill’s bowls for inspiration on this one. I believe I’ll make more.

Final projects complete for the craft fair tomorrow 9-2 at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren, 8860 Smith Creek Rd New Market. A 9 x 3 cherry fruit/salad bowl, two horseshoe heart necklaces, a laser engraved hammer for Dad and a few sun catchers ready to go. Come see us if you are in the area. Enjoy the evening y’all.@

Today was coffee scoop day. These are two tablespoon scoops. The first one is made from maple and has a deer antler handle and the second is walnut. Have a good evening folks.
