I sold my vintage sewing shop at Renningers in Mount Dora a year ago this week so that I could go work on the President’s re-election campaign. I knew the buyer was a regular vendor at Country Living fairs.

I opened my new May 2020 County Living magazine last week to see women holding vintage tool displays, just like the ones I used to display embroidery floss in my shop! Closer inspection of the items in that picture verify that those were indeed the very same pieces that were in my shop one year ago this week. Small, small world don’t you think?

So much good news to share.

Within days of sharing that I wanted to close my shop so I could start a new adventure, a buyer bought the contents of my shop. Wow. I really should say, WOW! I’ve taken my sign down and am ready to close a door on a chapter of my life that has been enormously rewarding to me personally. I’ve loved my shop. I’ve loved my customers. I've loved my Renningers neighbors. But I am now ready to step up to give my all toward a challenge that when combined with the efforts of millions of others, will have an enormous impact on my family, our community and our nation.
