Pokemon Champions is here and our is the game of choice for our Pokemon VGC Mid year Celebration tournament. This tournament will be played in Champions Regulation M-B. (Not announced yet!)

$10 admission

Printed or written out team sheets are required, for the tournament staff, and for your opponents as all VGC events utilize an open team list format. You can find the team sheet pdf here: https://www.pokemon.com/us/play-pokemon/about/tournaments-rules-and-resources

If you need to prepare a team sheet in shop, we have copies, please allow yourself 45+ minutes to write them out during registration.

Rounds will be played 50 minute best-of-3, with a top cut if we reach enough players. Please refer to the VGC tournament handbook for information on what you should bring and how to prepare your switch and team for the event.

Welcome to our Summer Gym Leader Challenge tournament series at the Sandbox Bookstore & Games. GLC or Gym Leader Challenge is a fan-made format featuring a creative set of rules for how to build a deck. The rules for GLC can be found here: https://gymleaderchallenge.com/rules

Rounds will be best of 1, 40-min time limit. Minimum of 3 rounds but we may play more if we have enough people.

$10 admission. Booster packs, prize packs and the winners in each age division will a special TCG energy symbol pin to match their gym type (as supplies last) The start time for this event is 4:00pm local time. Registration starts at 3:30pm.

The Marvel Super Heroes MTG release is almost here! Sandbox will be hosting prerelease events throughout the weekend that include tournaments and access to new materials 👀

Events will be Sat, June 20th and Sun, June 21st from 12pm to 5pm and entry is $45. See you there!

If you're nervous and would like a crash course beforehand, consider testing out MTG Arena. They have a great tutorial to go over the most foundational basics of the game (:
