Mid-South Music

Mid-South Music If visiting in-person please CALL 901-458-8791 for directions to our physical location. We have been selling and repairing musical instruments since 1979.

We are a local music retailer that is also international. Though they often work as a team, since 1979 Joe Sellmansberger has specialized in brass repair & sales and Debra Sellmansberger has specialized in woodwind repair & sales. Mid-South Music also offers some school percussion sales & repair, as well as bowed stringed instruments for students. Though no longer brick-and-mortar, Mid-South Music

maintains an amazing selection of solos, etude books, and class method books, and keeps a nice selection of competitively-priced accessories in stock. Mid-South Music is also the home of Sellmansberger (three-piece modular stainless steel) Tuba Mouthpieces, including the Solo, Imperial, Symphony, & Orchestra Grand models - all available with a variety of back-bores, shanks, and rims.

We are not "techs", and we don't wear aprons with our company name on them.
Simply, we repair musical instruments very well.

This is a genuine Yamaha accessory designed to be inserted as a substitute for the fourth valve slide on a YEP-321 euphonium.
It's in absolutely brand new condition.
This is a dependent fifth rotor which allows the non-compensating model 321 to be fully chromatic. Yamaha nickel plated these so they would cosmetically match both the silver plated and the lacquered versions of this model.
We have found that this also fits the Weril copies of the Yamaha that were made in Brazil, just for what It's worth. We have no idea whether it fits any of the Chinese copies.
These devices were made several decades ago for a very limited time and sold in very limited quantities. Rich Matteson had one, and demonstrated his at masterclasses/clinics. These were discontinued when Yamaha started building and marketing compensating euphoniums.
$1200 USD + postage will buy it immediately and otherwise offers over $1000 will be considered. Again, this is a genuine Yamaha accessory and not a replica, as replicas of these were made by small shops in the past.
We accept various methods of payment, and can have our credit card processor send you a secure link to pay. We don't accept PayPal, Venmo or any of those types of things.
Thanks for looking. As is known by those who were aware of the existence of these, they don't come up for sale very often.
