And that’s a wrap on 2025 here at Salt Bakery! And what a whirlwind (😉) wrap it was.
I started prepping on Monday for two big days of baking this week. I had a big order for yesterday, and even more for today. And then 12 minutes after I got up yesterday morning to start in the kitchen, power went out. The wind storm got us, and everything was on hold. Having heard that outages could last till Friday, I pretty much wrote off both of my fridges & my extra freezer (and the prepped bakes in them) as complete losses.
But then at 6:30 last night, all the lights came on! I looked at the clock, gauged how much I had to do, and went for it. 4 hours last night and 5 hours this morning, and all orders made it out the door to our very understanding and patient customers today. 🙌🏼
And now we settle in for a few weeks of slowing down. I look forward to serving you all in the new year, but until then, have a very Merry Christmas, and praise God from Whom all blessings (and electricity!) flow!
