The Glory of the Sea! This cone was, at one time, considered to be one of the rarest shells in the world with only a couple dozen specimens found within 100 years since their identification. Even though it is now known they are much more common than originally thought, Conus gloriamaris is still highly sought after for any collector. This growth set ranges from 1.5 inches to 5.75 inches.

Thanks to everyone who played our game of guessing how many shells were in the jar! It was a fun way to celebrate our 70th year in business! We had over 1100 guesses submitted, with one lucky winner! Take a look at this incredible Wentletrap shell! This is Sthenorytis pernobilis, a very rare shell from Barbados Island, collected 150 fathoms deep. These are typically about 30 millimeters, which makes this a giant at 46 millimeters. What a beauty!
