Today, Lindsay Renae and I will be at Painted Tree, loading up what furniture and display items our muscles can manage. Tomorrow, we'll be taking down the lights and picking up the flooring, plus getting out the heaviest display table.

We had alot at Painted Tree. Some items were only there. The inventory will start to flow into Tchotchkes - Trinkets & Treasures - Morris Illinois and Creative Treasures & More LLC over the next month. Need a moment to breathe and regroup, not to mention reorganize all of this.

Though this is not the outcome any of us anticipated, I am grateful. Grateful to have had the opportunity that Gisel Perez offered us at Painted Tree. Grateful to have had an opportunity to further grow this small business. Grateful for family and friends who have without asking, offered help and support. Grateful truly is where I am, as the initial jolt is wearing off.

For so many small businesses, this was their livelihood being in several Painted Tree locations. Please keep them in your prayers.

Small businesses truly are central to the heart of our economy. If you have the opportunity to shop small, I promise you, you won't be disappointed 🩷

I don't really have words right now to express the last two days with Painted Tree Boutiques. As many have probably heard by now, all 60+ locations across the US closed abruptly yesterday. Closed as a result of Painted Tree filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Closed with a 10 day notice to clear out your business. Closed.

I have been at Painted Tree Boutiques Bloomingdale for a year. I loved my space there and honestly thought it was to be a pretty permanent move.

I had to work today and could not start the process of moving things out. A huge thank you to Lindsay Renae for getting to Painted Tree this afternoon and packing up all of our products. Thank you to Alex Ramsey for your organization skills and getting the basement ready to accept an influx of plastic bins. Thank you to Nick Strange for getting all of it into the basement.

To Gisel, Geri and Theresa, the ladies at Painted Tree, thank you. Thank you for welcoming Blue Dragonfly Boutique into your Painted Tree family. You three ladies are truly the best 💗

My heart hurts for all the small businesses that have been affected by this. For some, this is their livelihood. Extra prayers right now for all that have been affected would really be appreciated🙏
