My fourth novel, "The List," (which will be released this summer in time for the Nobel Committee to review it properly 😉 ), is set in Morgantown (and northern and eastern West Virginia, as well as up and down the eastern seaboard of the U.S.). It features the same lead characters that appeared in my first novel: WVU History Professor Ben Tourini, WVU Law Professor Julia Parker, and their hero dog, Leon.

I would welcome the opportunity to visit with book clubs and talk about this book and my other novels. Book club visits are fascinating, at least in part, because of the questions participants raise, questions like . . .
• "Where do you get your ideas?"
• "How long does it take?"
• “Where do you get your characters ... and their names?” . . and so on.

If you are in a book club or know someone who is, and think club members might be interested in having an author visit and talk to the group, please share my name with them. I would really appreciate it.— feeling happy.

Please ignore emails from me regarding Amazon. It's a scam. I have changed my password but the old messages are still out there.

Sorry . . . Jack

Please accept my sincere thanks to all who wished me a Happy Birthday! I am 87 years old, over the hill, and out of the way. And let me tell you, it's a wonderful location!

On April 15, which happened to be my 84th Birthday, I received notice that I had been awarded a Bronze Medal from Global Book Awards, an organization that recognizes talent in self publishing. The award was made in the Psychological Thriller category.

Grady Harp, an Amazon Hall of Fame Top 100 Reviewer, said of this novel back in January: "Having been immensely impressed with his first novel, this reader welcomed another opportunity to absorb Bowman's obvious artful gift of writing . . . Bowman's keen interest in history imbues this story with a fine sense of depth of emotions and their effects on youth - of all ages!
Novels of this importance deserve wide attention. Forest Bowman's life values, translated into the form of a well-sculpted fictional story, not only entertain, but also provide ample food for thought for looking at the world and our fellow inhabitants with compassion, appreciation, and understanding. Very highly recommended.

At this time of year, when I am reminded to be grateful for all my blessings, I want all those who were students of mine at the WVU College of Law to know how very much I treasure the memories of those who shared the classroom with me. Over the twenty-three years I was privileged to teach I was blessed beyond all expectation by students whose friendship and support have remained one of the great joys of my life. God Bless You All!
