We were fortunate to get a small lot of Mariposa "Butterfly" Calcite. This lot was mined 8 years ago, and the previous lot was last mined 30 years before that. This calcite is incredibly UV reactive, and is phosphorescent, meaning it continues to glow once the light source (blacklight) is removed. The calcite crystals form in 2 generations, making these specimens unique. Pretty cool stuff!
