A loving welcome to our newest rescue ❤️

“Fluffer Spun Gold” is a 6 year old Jersey Wooly. He was very loved and spoiled but his owner underestimated HOW much work goes into a fiber rabbit. Even a little one! He is very matted but otherwise healthy. I will give him a couple of days to acclimate here and then shave him naked and start over. His fluff is sooooo soft and he will eventually contribute to my fiber stash. And as you can see Nala made sure he knows we love him already 🥰

I finished the crocheted cotton shawls with the US grown and milled, naturally dyed with Cosmos and Weld cotton yarn from Spindle and Spoon Homestead. I still have to block it but will start the next one right away. I just LOVE this cotton yarn. This shawl took 2 skeins crocheted with a 4.5mm crochet hook

Today’s morning harvest:
German Chamomile, Red clover and a few salad leaves for my lunch
The German Chamomile self seeded all over my veggie beds. They are popping up in random places. I have to watch where I step. I wish you could smell this. I have a few flowers in my evening tea every day

I’m starting my day crocheting outside with the beautiful cotton yarn I got from Spindle and Spoon, grown and milled in the US. Aleatha naturally dyed this cotton yarn with cosmos and weld. It will become the perfect evening cover up for the summer.

Another summer scarf is done. I will have several summer shawls and scarves available at my next in person event
