April is National Volunteer Month, and we’re proud to recognize the incredible individuals who give their time and heart to support our mission 💙

From our dedicated governing board and foundation board members, to our amazing Kirby Auxiliary volunteers, your impact is felt in so many ways. Whether you’re helping raise funds, volunteering during Hospital Week, or keeping the Kirby Auxiliary Gift Shop running, your commitment makes a difference every day.

Our annual races wouldn’t be possible without the energy and support of our many volunteers, either. Thank you for helping us bring these events to life year after year.

As we celebrate our 85th anniversary, we’re reminded that every volunteer along the way has helped make this milestone possible. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you who helps make our hospital stronger.

The Kirby Auxiliary Gift Shop at the Kirby Medical Center in Monticello, IL, is now offering Squishy Dumplings and Glitter Squeezy Dumplings, which are extremely popular among children.

Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our gift shop is constantly adding and changing merchandise. Come check us out!

So proud of our leadership at Kirby Medical Center.

Strong organizations start with strong leadership and changemakers. 💙

Today, Medical Center was proud to be part of Leadership & Legacy: A Conversation with Regional Changemakers, hosted by Community Foundation of East Central Illinois.

Our CEO, Steve Tenhouse, joined Sue Grey, CEO of United Way of Champaign County, for a meaningful discussion on the vital role boards play in leadership transitions, strategic oversight, and creating lasting community impact.

Thank you to Community Foundation of Wast Central Illinois for bringing together nonprofit and community leaders for an engaging and impactful conversation. Opportunities like this strengthen organizations—and ultimately, the communities we serve.

On February 5th, Thursday, Kirby Auxiliary brings four local vendors to Kirby Medical Center's Outreach Room, next to the Apple a Day Cafe from 9 am - 3 pm for you to shop and select some Valentine treats or gifts for yourself or your someone special.

🌎Alane Phelps, representing Norwex cleaning supplies will have some pay and carry items, but also will be able to take orders. Over the years, Norwex has grown from microfiber to natural personal care, helping families reduce harmful chemicals and live cleaner, safer lives.

Begin shopping, when done, check out. There will be tax & shipping charges (this will be delivered right to your home).

💄Mylinda Netherton, representing Mary Kay Cosmetics, will have many items for pay and carry, but will also be taking any orders .

👩‍🍳Jennifer Weber, is a local cutout cookie baker with the most adorable designs. She will be selling her cookies individually wrapped or in half dozen boxes.

🧁Diana McPheeters, also known as Cakes by Mrs. Pete's, will be selling her delicious creative creations in the form of cupcakes. Beware, they are scrumptious and you cannot stop at one!

We are sure you can find something special with these local vendors. Proceeds from this event helps support Kirby Medical Center's Equipment Fund.

The Kirby Auxiliary appreciates these vendors and those supporting them by purchasing their products.
