My Prayer for Mother’s Day 🩷

Thank you, Jesus, for all of the women who are walking in the calling of motherhood; for those who sacrifice daily for the joyful privilege of raising children. Give us endurance, wisdom, and an ability to love like You.

To the mom in the postpartum trenches: The days are long, but you are doing incredible work in the quiet, solitary moments. Lord, grant her the strength she didn’t know she had, let her breathe deep and know she is exactly what her baby needs. She is seen, she is capable, and she is enough in Your eyes.

To the woman waiting to be a mom: In the long seasons of “not yet,” know that you are deeply loved. Father, we pray expectantly with her. Help her hold onto the truth that her story is still being written by Your hand. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.

To the woman who has lost her mom: Lord, comfort her even when it feels heavy, and let her mother’s love remain an anchor. You have shaped her through that love for all her days. Remind her that she is seen, she is loved, and she is never alone because You are with her.

To the mom mourning what should have been: I pray You heal the ache of the empty spaces. In the reality of a shattered heart, provide a peace that surpasses understanding, and remind her that she is cherished. Remind her of the promise that You will always be near to the brokenhearted.
