2008 Fender David Gilmour Stratocaster
Body: Select Alder body with a Black Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish.
Neck: One-piece Maple neck.
Profile: A duplication of the 1983 thin-shouldered "C" shape neck (based on a Charvel neck Gilmour installed on the original in the 80s).
Radius: 7.25" (Vintage radius).
Frets: Vintage-style frets.
Electronics & Pickups
This is the heart of the Gilmour sound. The pickup configuration is a unique blend of three different manufacturers/eras:
Neck Pickup: Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s Single-Coil.
Middle Pickup: Fender Custom Shop '69 Single-Coil.
Bridge Pickup: Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Single-Coil.
The "Gilmour Mod" Switch:A defining feature is a small, recessed mini-toggle switch situated between the volume and tone k***s.
Function: It activates the Neck pickup regardless of the 5-way selector switch position.
Result: This allows for two extra combinations: Neck + Bridge (Telecaster style) or Neck + Middle + Bridge.
4. Unique Hardware
Tremolo Arm: The guitar features a synchronized tremolo with a custom shortened tremolo arm.
Bridge: American Vintage synchronized tremolo with a distinct bevel block.

Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice #24, known as "Nicky."

Release Year: Circa 2015
Background and Significance
The Collector’s Choice (CC) series was a project by Gibson Custom Shop to recreate specific, individual vintage Les Pauls currently in existence. They utilized digital scanning to replicate the exact neck profile, top carve, and wear patterns of the original guitar.
"Nicky" (CC #24) is a replica of a 1959 Les Paul owned by Charles Daughtry. In the world of "Burst" collectors, the original 9-1945 is famous for its condition and its distinct aesthetic. It is widely regarded by enthusiasts as one of the finest examples of a "Lemon Burst" 1959 Les Paul in existence.
