Pushpa is yet another of our talented weavers. She is a farmer in Ukhimath and works on her small family farm.
She completed 10th grade and married a farmer too.
I met her on my trip to her village - scouting for artisans. She needs an extra income to make ends meet.
It takes her a day to weave up a wrap.

Prabha Devi, made some of the beautiful Ahimsa silk/cotton Wraps.
She and her husband are farmers and live in a village in Uttarakhand in the central Himalayas. She works as a weaver in a cooperative, to earn extra income so that she can give her son Shivam a sound education for a better future.
WEAVEiN supports the her and the mountain communities by collaborating with them to make ahimsa silk and cotton wraps.
