Man, what a weekend! I think it could have been a little hotter, though!
We didn’t get any rain, and that allowed the entire weekend to work out perfectly. This became the fourth-largest race in discount America’s history. With it being an 1/8-scale-only event, that is especially impressive because there were no additional classes helping fill the entry count.
We completed qualifying in 11 hours, and Main Day took 10 hours—including giveaways—and culminated in a 45-minute Nitro Buggy final featuring an epic battle between Jared Wiggins and Jared Tebo.
It was also great to see Chase Lemieux come out and race 1/8 scale with us.
The track handled everything the racers threw at it, with an incredible 18,438 laps completed over the four-day event. This crew knows how to get the job done.

On a personal note, getting to race direct what I believe was the first-ever race to have both Nash and Jared competing was awesome.
Thank you again to Jared Wiggins and Jim for staging. They went out of their way to make it happen, and I am extremely grateful for their support.
We also cannot forget the constant dedication Ryan puts into the facility and these events. He gives us one of the best places anywhere to race. The facility receives upgrades every year, and plans are already being made for next year’s improvements. The hobby shop is always fully stocked for these big events as well.
I am already looking forward to next year’s race.
