This is absolutely devastating. Thank you so much to everyone that helped stop the spread! Please keep everyone involved in your thoughts!

Our hearts are heavy as we share that a devastating fire has impacted several buildings on our historic downtown square, affecting both local businesses and apartments.

We are incredibly grateful to report that no one was injured. While we are thankful for the safety of our community, we are deeply saddened by the damage and loss experienced by our friends, neighbors, and business owners.

We are grateful for the Monroe Fire Department and all the responding agencies for their quick action and dedication today.

Monroe is built on community, and we will stand strong. We will be sticking to the reason we exist, which is to support our downtown and everyone a part of it.

Please keep those impacted in your thoughts and prayers. More information on how to support will be shared soon.
