I know I’ve been very quiet on this account and I apologize! If you want to know what’s been going on behind the scenes here at Cardinal Fiber Co. follow my personal IG account: . On the yarnie front, I’ve been working hard dyeing up 25 new colorways for the advent calendars—swipe through for a sneak peak of three of the colorways 🤭 There are still a few calendars left in the shop with either 10g or 20g minis. And remember, all advent calendars come with a wrap pattern designed for the the minis + a neutral/coordinating full skein that works for either size!

Pre-orders are now open! A fiber fanatic's take on an old classic. This year's Cardinal Fiber Co. miniskein advent calendar features 24 miniskeins that are designed to be worked up together in a single project. Each calendar will come with a brand new wrap pattern that can be knit up either with just the minis or with the minis and a coordinating full skein, which you can add-on. Best of all, each section knits up quickly enough that you can add on to your wrap each day as you open up your advent calendar. Plus, with most options you'll have enough left from each mini to add to another scrap yarn project (note: this may not be true for 10g calendars without the full skein add-on; it also depends on the size of mini required for your scrap project).

All miniskein sets will ship out by the end of October to ensure arrival by the holidays!

The first round of preorders for the 2018 Cardinal Fiber Co. Advent Calendars will open on Sunday 5/13/18 at 3PM EST 🎄 I’m doing two different sizes on Soft Sock this year: 10g and 20g. And you can add on a coordinating full skein of Soft Sock as well 🎁 All advent calendars will be designed to be knit together into a single wrap/scarf with enough left over from each mini to add to a scrap blanket projet ♥️ I’m so excited about this calendar and hope you will be too!

Advent Calendar pre-orders are coming soon! I’m doing something slightly different this year—all 24 minis will be designed to work coherently together in a single project 🎄 Colorways will be a mix of old and new (mostly new!) and a mix of tonal, variegated and speckled. You can choose either 10g or 20g minis and can add on a full skein of a coordinating colorway if you choose! All advent calendars will come with a scarf/wrap pattern designed to be used with the minis ♥️ All sets will be on the Soft Sock base.

I’m over the moon with my new Plump base (bulky 100% SW Merino). From cast-on to bind-off, this oversized beanie took maybe 4 hours. It’s destined to be a shop sample, but you better believe I’ll be wearing it on my morning walks until it finally gets above 40F at 7am. 3 colorways are available on this base now, and more are coming (the bare yarn arrived today 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻)

Embers on Plump has my ♥️ I’m always amazed by how quickly bulky weight yarn knits up—15 rows in and I’ve already got 3.5” of hat! I’m going to be using this a lot for gift knits! Plump is available now in 3 other colorways, and more is on the way!
