We wrapped up the this week and I’m so excited to see everyone’s quilt come together and see them being used at the beach this summer!

As a thank you, I wrote a super fun and quick beach bag pattern that can fit everything and more for your beach (or pool or picnic etc.) day!

This Whale’s Tail 🐳 was so much fun to put together! The instructions were so well written and even though some of the pieces were small, the video tutorial made it seem simple.

TODAY IS THE DAY!!

This morning everyone signed up for the received their first 3 blocks!

We are starting off with a couple of Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) blocks. If you’ve been interested in FPP but didn’t want to commit to a full quilt, here’s your chance to learn!

It’s the final reveal of the Snapshots of Summer quilt with blocks by and .

Whether you’re in a tropical paradise or your local beach, it’s always nice to have somewhere to retire to and ‘Beach Hut’ epitomises this. And who doesn’t love rock pooling? Finding all those fascinating creatures left behind after the tide goes out. This block, ‘Tide Pool’, uses reverse applique and is another great skill builder – go on, try something new!

Sit back and relax with this ‘Lounging on the Beach’ ⛱️block that uses traditional blocks and a simple but effective design to have you yearning for the sunshine! And finally, a beach holiday wouldn’t be right without hunting for crabs! ‘Crab’ 🦀 is a traditionally pieced block that uses clever orientation of pieces to make you want to keep your toes out of the way!

What’s more beach than surfing?! 🏄‍♀️ The ‘Surfboards’ block will teach you some applique skills mixed with traditional piecing. And this ‘Seagull’ block will help you hone your traditional piecing skills.

Super excited for the second reveal of the Snapshots of Summer quilt with blocks by me () and Crystal ().

The playful ‘Beach Ball’ block will have you practicing your curves and inset circles (it’s easier than you think!) while the ‘Palm Tree’ block will have you swaying in the wind with traditional piecing including some small HSTs – a super skill-builder!
