Through a lot of prayer and encouragement, I come before you guys in obedience to God. I have been very hesitant to post this but I have had many people speak life over me and choose to invest in me financially, spiritually and emotionally with where I believe God is calling me; that is to a new business and to publish my book.
While a new business is slowly coming together behind the scenes, I have been writing Idols in Egypt for a few years now; this book is something that I started in the down swing of our infertility when I realized how much I was idolizing the world and not our father.
Fast forward to a few weekends ago and God made sure to place me in a room with some impactful people, encouraging me to take my next step. A book retreat is happening in our area with an incredible group of women who have been published, are agents and so much more. The hope of this book retreat is to walk away with a publishing offer. (Exciting right!?)
I quickly moved to sign up that night when I saw the investment amount be more than what our family can afford. The enemy highlighted our finically position in that moment and said “you’ll never have the funds to publish a book.” I walked away discouraged.
Since then I have consulted with some wise counsel and sought out prayer within my community. In my own prayer time I have asked God why not me? His reply, “Test me and see.”
At first I felt that Shane and I would figure it out. But as time moved on it was clear that we couldn’t do it ourselves. Shane reminded me that God is in control and encouraged me to share this story with you all as well; that this would need to be a move of God in his people.
I have seen miracles within my own life as well as others and I know he can do it. That doesn’t take the physical need away to be able to take this next step.
I’ve seen my community, my friends and my family rally around me in such beautiful ways before. Would you be willing to sow into me today?
My total need for the book retreat is $2500. Sign ups end February 2nd. There is a payment plan option so while I do need the full amount, initially our goal is $900 to secure my spot.

Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for everyone that is praying for me, counseling me, and assisting me in any way they can.
