🚨 SCAMMER WALL OF SHAME — Exhibit #1 🚨

I’m seriously considering starting an album dedicated entirely to the painfully obvious scam messages I get from people wanting to “purchase” my shells. 😂

Today’s contestant:

Profile apparently created sometime around… Tuesday. 🙄

And yet somehow she stumbled upon my little shell page and simply MUST purchase my artwork. What are the odds?! 😂

Do these people think I’m stupid just because I have a Southern accent??

…but I also know that when your Facebook profile has fewer friends than I have unfinished projects on my workbench, you ain’t getting my email address. 🤣🤣🤣

Apparently the scammers were in such a hurry to come buy my oyster shells they didn’t have time to finish setting up their fake profile. 😂

I’ve been seriously slacking lately, but I’m trying to ease myself back into the groove. 😂 I promised I was going to WORK today.

I did not say I was going to work hard. 😆

So after all that determination and motivation… I managed exactly ONE ring dish 🤦‍♀️😂

But this pink octopus juggler is a real cutie! 🐙🩷

Well, bless my heart - I have officially SPRUNG THE $$$. 💸😳

After approximately 15–20 years of faithful service, my ancient HP Envy inkjet is being put out to pasture. Bless her heart. She’s printed more shell pictures than any printer should ever be asked to endure. 😂🐚

I bit the bullet and ordered a refillable PIGMENT ink printer because apparently regular ink and wet decoupage glue occasionally like to turn my carefully printed artwork into a tiny watercolor crime scene. 🙄

So, fellow decoupage artists PLEASE reassure me that I did the right thing. 🤣

My reasoning:
👉 Sharper, prettier images than laser — hopefully 🤞
👉 Pigment ink that won’t run for the hills when it sees Mod Podge ( I read that it was important that all 4 colors are pigment - not just black)
👉 Refillable tanks = cheaper ink
👉 And MAYBE not quite as temperamental as the inkjet dinosaur I’ve been arguing with for the last decade and a half.

I researched. I compared. I asked questions. I overthought it. Then I threw money at the problem. As one does. 🤷‍♀️💸

Now y’all tell me… PIGMENT INK PEOPLE — did Granny do good, or am I about to learn another expensive lesson? 😂🐚

DANG ! This. THIS right here is why I can’t get any work done. 🤦‍♀️😂

The kitchen is 99% finished. 🙌
I’m finally over my stupid summer cold. 🙌
I have shells waiting to be made.
Supplies waiting to be used.
Christmas projects giving me the side-eye. 🎄🐚

And yet… here I sit.

Because apparently I live with two highly trained professional nappers whose commitment to doing absolutely NOTHING is downright contagious. 😴🐶😴

In my defense, it’s still approximately 999° at the workbench, so I thought, Fine. I’ll bring some shells inside and work in the air conditioning.

Nope.

Can’t even make myself do THAT.

I look over at these two, all cozy and snoozing, and suddenly my brain says, You know what? We’ve worked hard enough today.

WE HAVE NOT WORKED AT ALL. 🤣

At this rate, the 2026 Christmas collection should be ready sometime around Juvember 47th. 🎄🐚

Send help.

Or motivation.

Or maybe just another pillow. 😴😂

✨ A little something different from the Moldy Oldies ADHD workbench today ! ✨

I was asked by a local bakery to create oyster shells for a wedding cake, and I absolutely love the bride’s vision. 🤍

She wanted them simple and elegant—a soft, iridescent pearl finish lined in silver with a single pearl nestled inside each shell. 🦪✨

The first photo below is the bride’s inspiration - the second is the finished shells. I can’t wait to see how they look on her wedding cake! 🎂💍

Sometimes simple really is the prettiest. 🤍

Apparently Christmas is coming. 🎄😳

And apparently I’m supposed to be MAKING Christmas stuff.

Y’all… I have spent this summer surviving a kitchen renovation that refuses to end, catching the summer crud, running off on metal detecting road trips, getting poked, prodded and medically tested, and generally letting my ADHD take the wheel. 🤦‍♀️

Meanwhile, the poor Moldy Oldies Workbench has been sitting out there wondering if I died.

So today I’m trying to get myself motivated to start on Christmas shells and ornaments because we all know how this works. I’ll blink twice and it’ll be December 17th and somebody will message me:

“Do you have 14 matching oyster shell ornaments I can get by Friday?” 😂

There’s just ONE little problem…

🔥 IT IS APPROXIMATELY 9,000 DEGREES OUT AT THE WORKBENCH. 🔥

Nothing puts you in the Christmas spirit quite like sweating through your bra (that’s IF I even decide to bother putting one on !) while making Santa ornaments. 🎅🏼🥵🐚

But I’ve got my coffee, I’ve got my shells, and I’ve got enough craft supplies to open a small Hobby Lobby.

Now I just need motivation.

Send some.
And maybe a portable air conditioner. 😂
