Hi everyone! I’m Brooke, and I am proud to introduce myself as the one of the owners of The Last Best Store. 🏔️✨
Born and raised right here in Missoula, this town and these mountains are in my DNA. Whether I’m out adventuring with my dog Jocko or working in the shop, my heart is always tied to the local spirit that makes Montana so special.
My husband, Alex, and I own the store together with a shared mission: to champion the incredible talent in our own backyard. I’ve always been passionate about local manufacturing, which is why you’ll find our own brands- and - featured right alongside the work of so many other talented local artisans and creators.
To me, this isn’t just a store; it’s a tribute to the place we call home. Come say hi next time you’re in - we’d love to hear about your favorite local trails or your own Montana story!

Rather than give you anything less than 100%, we’ve decided to close the shop this Monday and Tuesday to get our ducks in a row (and hopefully find a few more humans to help us out!).

Today, we are joining the nationwide strike against ICE. We believe in a community where all our neighbors can live without fear. By closing our doors today - a decision made in full solidarity with our staff - we are choosing to put people over profit and demand an end to the violence impacting our communities.
We will re-open our doors Saturday Jan 31 at 11am.
