Our monthly Sew & Tell is tomorrow!

Join us from 10am-12pm on Saturday (tomorrow), for our monthly community meet up! This is a really fun time to make new sewing friends, show off your recent projects to people who will understand and appreciate them, and get help on the ones that are stumping you!

These monthly meet ups are really fun, supportive, and super casual! If you don't have a project, no worries, as long as you like to talk about sewing related things you'll be good! It's totally free to come and you're free to bring drinks or snacks as you'd like!

We're freshly stocked up on needles!

Changing your needles more frequently is one of the things that will instantly make your sewing projects go much smoother. The damages that needles get from even one sewing project can be hard to see with the naked eye, but believe me it's there!

Also using the right needle for the right fabrics will help you to not skip stitches and help your machine to handle different fabrics better.

We are so excited to see that there is a new scrubs pattern, because we've got a nurse in our life that is always complaining about scrubs not having enough pockets!

Thank you all for the best first two years ever!

It's been such a joy these past couple years getting to meet the best customers, see the coolest garments get made, and support so many creative people in a passion we share with them!

It's thanks to you all that we're even still here and able to grow in the ways that we have! Everyone who has taken a class, purchased fabric, and told their friends or neighbors about us has helped us tremendously and we can't be thankful enough!

We hope we get to be your local fashion fabrics dealers for many more years!

To say thank you we're doing a fabric sale! All the fabric in the front room is 15%-50% off and the sale lasts through Saturday! That is to say if anything will be left, we cleared out of a bunch of bolts of fabric just yesterday!

Here's a list of our upcoming classes!

We've got another session of our super popular Serging 101 class coming up where you learn all about that machine you bought 20 years ago and said you were going to use and then never did! We'll overcome your fears and show you how to master that machine!

We've also got more dates for the Palmer/Pletsch Fitting Courses, and what's exciting is that there is no longer a requirement to take the Tops fitting class before the Pants! So if you have been thinking about taking the Tops just to get to the Pants, no need to anymore, just go ahead and sign up for the Pants!

We also still have a few spots left in some of the patternmaking classes like the How to Draft a Dress Pattern and How to Draft a Sloper Class!

We can't believe it's been TWO YEARS!

Two years ago we were just a couple of ladies who had no idea what they were doing and were wishing on some shooting stars. We said we can't be the only ones fed up with there being no fashion fabrics here in KC! Thankfully we were right about that because we've met so many people who walk in our door and say the same exact thing!

We're so blessed to have made it this far, and we couldn't have done so without your support and loyalty! We are so thankful for all of you; without you we wouldn't still be here, let alone have been able to pretty much triple the amount of fabric we had when we started out!

In order to say thank you, we are doing a sale all of next week (Tuesday through Saturday) where everything in the front room will be on sale! This will be good both instore and online and there's going to be a wide range of fabrics - even some of the silks and wools!

We hope you all join us next week to celebrate, and we also hope you have an amazing Memorial Day Weekend and get some sewing in! We're going on a camping trip so the shop will be closed tomorrow.
