Story time of the steps before WTW:
I started my small business after our family had to move from Las Vegas to Minot Air Force Base and I lost a job I loved dearly. Military life truly isnโt for the faint of heart.
We came here knowing almost no one besides a few incredible military families. No family nearby. Just a complete fresh start for our family of five and our three dogs. We lived on base, away from everything familiar, trying to figure out how to rebuild our lives while also supporting my husbandโs military career, raising three young kids in elementary school, and preparing for deployment not long after we arrived.
I didnโt know what kind of job I could realistically take because military life always meant flexibility was necessary and my husbandโs career understandably had to come first. Life changed drastically for all of us, but over these past almost 8 years, weโve grown through so much together.
Iโm incredibly grateful and truly humbled by this journey.
WTW Blankets has never been โjust a hobbyโ to me. It gave me the flexibility to be present for my family through military life, deployments, school activities, COVID, and all the unexpected moments in between.
No, I havenโt become rich from making blankets ๐ โ but I do feel rich in the things that matter most: memories, presence, and being there for my kids through every season of life.
Looking back, I truly believe this business helped shift our family in the right direction and allowed me to build something meaningful while still being exactly where my family needed me most. ๐ค
